Anti-Valentine’s Poetry Party
Cast off the shackles of Valentine’s Day and join us for a poetic celebration of love in all its forms. The evening will commence with a reading by Nikita Gill, followed by an open session in which you are invited to share a love poem by your favourite poet: whether that’s love for best friends, love of a divine entity, self-love – we want to hear the world’s wide interpretations of love.
So pick a poem, pick an outfit (dress in the colours of love – however you define those!) and join us on 15 February.
Become a Coffee-tier Poetry Patron and receive a free ticket for you (and a guest). Alternatively, tickets are £4.
The Zoom link will be sent round to ticket-holders 72 hours prior to the event.
If you’re looking for inspiration for poems, try one of these:
Two Cures for Love – Wendy Cope
How to Triumph Like a Girl – Ada Limón
Love After Love – Derek Walcott
A Litany for Survival – Audre Lorde
A Portable Paradise – Roger Robinson
